Meet the Author

I grew up in Wisconsin and have been a lifelong reader of fantasy and fiction. I’m especially inspired by authors like Joe Abercrombie, Robin Hobb, Brandon Sanderson, Pierce Brown, N. K. Jemisin, Terry Pratchett, and Margaret Atwood. I love stories that blend imaginative worlds with flawed characters and a touch of humor, while still delivering emotional depth.

Before focusing more seriously on writing, I spent fifteen years working in affordable housing and community development. After a recent career transition, I began dedicating more time to the fantasy stories and worlds I’ve been building for years.

I’ve also been an active tabletop role-playing enthusiast since the COVID-19 lockdowns and have been the Dungeon Master for my Dungeons & Dragons group since 2023. I live in Arlington, Virginia, with my wife and our ten-year-old son, who constantly pitches monsters for me to add to my stories.
